The themein April is spring. Every year, we begin each season theme justafter the unique weather occurs.
In April, weather turns warmer and warmer. Tadpoles swim together. Spring welcomesblossom trees in school. We have bumped into a new fresh world.
Eachseason, children go to people’s park, where exists the most visual specimen of thesuccession of seasons.
Thisweek, we took our tools and went to the park to net tadpoles, which are typicalanimals in spring. Furthermore, because of their unique growth process, theyhave been one of the most popular animals to observe amongst the children.
In thepond, little tadpoles swim in crowds. The children were so happy to see that. They were laughing and hopping.
We nettedsome from the pond and sat down on the ground, listening to the teacher’sintroduction. Soon after, these tadpoles will grow their hind legs, then frontlegs, until they become frogs or toads. It’s just a beginning for exploring. Amagic world is beckoning to them.
Preschooleducation should be connected to nature. We should respect nature and focus onour position in ecological environment. Use our five senses to feel the realworld. This is real leaning.
